Lynne Stanley Fisher

June 27, 2008

OMGosh! Alex! This is Lynne Stanley from Tulsa, New Orleans, and now Houston. I want to order one of your CD's. Which CD should I order? What do you recommend? My husband goes to the Bob Wills Festival in Turkey, TX. Great pic of you looking just like you did more than 40 years ago. You rock!
Fondly,
Lynne

Hi. I was at one of your Auckland concerts and bought two CDs and are a huge fan. Now my 8 year old daughter is too. She knows about four of your songs from BarFarcist off by heart and especially loves Chiggers and Speed Trap. We sing them everyday on the way to school (for the past year!!). My daughter Chelsey is desperate to know what the words are at the end of Speed Trap when you talk something right at the end. It really bothers her!! Also what is a Chigger? I watch your songs on Youtube. Thanks for giving us heaps of fun and giving my daughter a love of country music. Joanne.

Looking forward to seeing you in July - Gosh, 40 years goes by fast. Like Rory and probably others from AOCS Class 23-68, I'm sorry I missed out on your talents back in Pensacola as well. But then, being just married two weeks before entering that unforeseen new life as a 'poopie', I took every chance of free time that I could get to leave the base when we were allowed to visit my new bride.
There are some very vivid memories, and some faint memories of things that went on that are getting a bit brighter sharing with the others. Looking forward to seeing you and the rest of our class.
Congratulations on your successes!

Alex, enjoyed looking through your web site. Nice to know a former AOCS Class 23-68 classmate is doing well clearly doing something he really loves. Sorry I did not have the chance to learn more about your musical talents while we were in Pensacola together as a class. Keep smiling, and keep playing.

Very nice work. You're obviously very seasoned and accomplished! Nice fluid, smoothe delivery and great playing. If you were to be pigeon holed, then I guess you'd be in "Country Folk". I have friends who play this type of music, and they just call it "Coyboy" music! I love it!

Alex, I've become a huge fan of your music since I started hearing you perform in Second Life. You're great! And I was also impressed by your daughter's set the other day. How nice to have a musical family.

September 24, 2006

Alex,
I heard you tonight for the first time. My sister brought me to your concert on Second Life.

I loved every song you played. My boyfriend even tore himself away from the tv to come listen. We were both very amused at your lyrics. What a great songwriter you are.

We hope to catch you live sometime. Will keep checking your calendar to see when you'll be close, we're in South Mississippi. Ever do the casino's here. Of course we only have 4 to choose from since Katrina. Will keep listening on SL until then.

Keep singing,
Susan

September 22, 2006

ALEX!!!!
I emailed your dates in New Zealand to my friend that I will be traveling with, we are going to try to come to your show in Christchurch. Of course weather depending at the South Pole and if we can get off Antarctica in time.
LIFE IS CRAZY!! Who would have ever thought in a million years that I would winter at the South Pole and get to see you again in New Zealand of all places!!!!

Ronda

September 20, 2006

Wow Alex! I've been a long time fan of live music in almost every genre, and listening to you put on the biggest smiles on my face.

The very first song I heard you play was the "Chigger" song. My 7 year old daughter was sitting right next to me, and boy could we relate! We sat and laughed as we listened to the words, and she kept saying, "Mom, he's right!"

Thank you for singing and reaching out and touching all of us, at every age, with your words and music. Keep Smiling and Picking for while you do, you are making a world a happier place.

Nice Bio, Alex. Grant M suggested I check you out. He praised your talents very high. That in itself is enough for me. Playing Nashville's songwriter venue, keeps me plenty busy. If you find yourself in the area, I hope you will let me know. Maybe you will consider doing a round or two while you are here. I promise some great conversation with some awesome singer/songwriter/musicians. Nashville Round the World is my pet project, in it's construction phase. Let's talk soon.

Hey Alex, I have'nt had the opportunity to see you play yet but I just came across your website and decided to send a note. I lost my job recently and decided to try the "late bloomer" appraoch because like yourself, I am. I've been told so many times how "unique" my singing abilities are and to "go for it". Got any advice for me. I want to play for at least a little while.
thanks ....Barry Martin

Hi Bonnie and Alex (and Mum),

Many thanks for your considerable talents last night. A most enjoyable evening and one we will return through your CD many times.
Sorry there were not more people in the audience for a great package of music.
We hope you enjoy the rest of your tour of New Zealand.

Hopefully you will access this message shortly as I would like to suggest you contact our National Radio Station.
www.afternoons@radionz.co.nz or just radionz.co.nz.

The afternoon host Jim Mora interviews musicians on a regular basis discussing their lives, music and expects them to play a couple of numbers.
Your family would make a great programme.
This usually takes place about 1.30pm in the afternoon but is broadcast nationwide.
Perhaps a great opportunity to publicize your tour and family music (and CD's).

No doubt your local agent will be able to help here.

Once again thank you for a great evening,

Best wishes,

Martin and Irene Sanders

Alex: Mary Jane & I enjoyed our visit with you on 3/9/06 at Ms Tracey's in Terlingua. We enjoyed both ElecTex & Bar II that we purchased there. In fact I shared Bar II with my 68 yr old bachelor friend with special emphasis on Track 12. He got a kick out of it. Hope to see you again soon. Good Luck on your New Zealand tour. Will watch to see if you get close to the Houston or Beaumont area in the future. Gary & Mary Jane
